So I went to the doctor the Friday before Labor Day and was diagnosed with a double ear infection, fluid in the ear, a sinus infection, and fluid in the lungs. I knew everything except the fluid in the lungs part. He prescribed me 2 medicines, one liquid cough medicine and one 10 day pack. The total cost? $98 for one and $78 for the other. About the time i finished my cough medicine, I began coughing. Ironic huh? I've still been pretty miserable, my ears have been plugged, and we're not even talking about the cough yet. Probably the worst cough I have ever heard. I'm pretty sure I've been coughing my throat raw. I spent several nights laying awake in bed coughing and only gaining a couple hours sleep each night. I finally went back to the doctor today and he diagnosed me with post-infection bronchitis and fluid in my ears (yes, still). Then he told me I needed a steroid shot and I that I had asthma (which I already knew) So I finally left the doctors office today with another 3 prescriptions; one for the cough, one z-pac for the fluid in my ears, and one to make my bronchial tubes loose the swelling so I stop coughing and it should prevent me from getting this again. He also told me that if I choose to get a flu shot I need to wait one month before I am "healthy" enough for the shot. It would be my first flu shot ever and I probably won't get one.
One another note, I got to pet and play with a 6 week old baby tiger yesterday!! Myself and 2 other people I know paid $30 for the 8 minutes but it was amazing and the tiger was so precious. Her name was Gracie. I'm not sure who names a tiger Gracie though. Here is a picture!
